THE CHESNUT RIDGE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM IS NOW AVAILABLE TO 2ND GRADE STUDENTS

The After School Program is open for all students in grades 2-5 who reside in the Chestnut Ridge School District. It's is a FREE program open Monday through Thursday right after school from 3 – 6 pm. We'll even provide snack, homework assistant, recreation, enrichment filled activities and transportation home.

In addition to activities each even the program also offers four fun and free field trips throughout the school year. Last year the students went roller skating, enjoyed a movie at the Pitt Theater, went to Lincoln Caverns to explore the caves, and went to Shawnee State park for a picnic.

We also have four family night open houses for the students parents to come and enjoy a night of afterschool with them. Throughout the year, all parents, siblings and grandparents are invited to evenings filled with unique opportunities such as Talent Shows, Outside Snow Fun, Mystery Nights, and more.

Central and New Paris Yearbooks

Central and New Paris Yearbooks will be on sale from January 16-February 3, 2012.  The price is $14.00 Per Copy.  Order homes will be sent home with students the Week of January 9, 2012 or order forms can be obtained in the offices at Central or New Paris.

Summer School Registrations

Summer school registrations are now open for interested students. Summer school will begin Monday, June 6, 2011, and will conclude Friday, July 1, 2011. For more information, please read the attached Program Guidelines. Completed Registration Forms may be returned with payment to district guidance counselors. First Annual Central Elementary PTO Golf Tournament

The Central Elementary PTO would like to Thank everyone that participated, donated and volunteered to make our golf tournament successful!  All proceeds from this event will benefit the students of Chestnut Ridge Central Elementary.  We were able to raise $2,710.43 which helps us to hold a fall festival, assemblies, Christmas activities, track & field, and field trips, along with many other educational events throughout the school year.  Once again, Thank You to all that were involved in this event!

This free Summer Reading Program is offered by the Bedford County Literacy Council in conjunction with the Chestnut Ridge School District for CRSD students entering Pre-K through Grade 2.

Sustaining School Success

Sustaining School Success workshops will begin Monday, April 13th from 6-8 at Central Elementary. The target group will be Pre-K -3.
